I'm Stacy Sefton: teacher, mother, wife.
This is my 1st year teaching at Tolbert Elementary School. I have taught at various levels: elementary, high school and college. I've been a school administrator, a school public information officer and an instructional assistant. I worked for several years as a newspaper reporter/writer, photographer and editor.
I have a bachelor of science degree in Journalism (minor in English) from West Virginia University and a master's degree in education (administration and supervision) from the University of Virginia.
My Virginia teaching license (pre-K to 3rd grade certification) runs through 2019. I carry endorsements in administration/supervision and journalism.
I am the mother of Alex (first year at Campbell Law in Raleigh, NC) and Rachel (a senior at Shepherd University where she plays soccer). My husband Chris is a chief with the District of Columbia Fire Department. We live on a family farm in Berryville/Clarke County with our German Shepherd Tucker, my parents, my sister's family, my aunt and a myriad of animals.
I love to read and am happiest at the beach.
